2026 FIFA World Cup Semifinals Schedule

Both semifinals kick off at 3:00 PM Eastern Time on back-to-back days. FIFA uses official tournament names for each venue during the World Cup, shown below alongside the usual name.

Wed, Jul 15102Winner M99 vs Winner M1003:00 PMAtlanta Stadium (Mercedes-Benz), Atlanta

Both are climate-controlled NFL stadiums with retractable roofs. Dallas Stadium is the larger venue and hosts nine World Cup matches, more than any other.

The winners advance to the Final on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, and the losers play the third-place match on July 18 in Miami.

How Does the Semifinal Round Work (Format)

Each semifinal is single elimination. A match lasts 90 minutes. If it is level, teams play 30 minutes of extra time, then a penalty shootout if still tied. There are no replays in the knockout stage.

The bracket is fixed, so each semifinal links to set quarterfinals: the winners of Match 97 and Match 98 meet in Dallas, and the winners of Match 99 and Match 100 meet in Atlanta. To get here, a team wins its Round of 32, Round of 16 and quarterfinal. By the semifinals, each side has played six matches, so squad depth and recovery matter.

How Teams Reach the Semifinals

The field is wide open, since the quarterfinals are not played until July 9 to 11. So far in the Round of 32, Canada, Brazil, Paraguay, Morocco and Norway have advanced, while South Africa, Germany, Netherlands, Japan and Ivory Coast are out.

The rest of the Round of 32 runs through July 3 and still includes Argentina, Spain, France, England, Portugal, Mexico and the United States. Each surviving team must then win its Round of 16 match and its quarterfinal to reach the final four. The four semifinalists are set once the quarterfinals finish on July 11.

FIFA World Cup 2026 Bracket
The road to the Final, July 19, 2026

The bracket splits into two halves, and each half sends one team to the Final. The top half runs through Dallas, where the winners of Quarterfinal 97 and Quarterfinal 98 meet on July 14.

The bottom half runs through Atlanta, where the winners of Quarterfinal 99 and Quarterfinal 100 meet on July 15. Two strong sides in the same half must knock each other out before the Final.

Semifinal Tickets and Prices

FIFA sells official tickets through FIFA.com/tickets, but with primary inventory nearly gone, most seats now come through the FIFA Resale Marketplace. Semifinal face values run from about $420 to $3,295, plus a 15% service fee.

FIFA uses dynamic pricing for the first time, so prices move with demand, and resale listings for these ties can reach five figures.

Seat categories now reflect how high a seat sits, not how close it is to the field. Category 4 in the upper corners is cheapest. A $60 Supporter Entry Tier exists but is allocated through national federations, not sold to the public.

Tickets are non-refundable and tied to a buyer’s ID. For prices by round, category and host city, see the full World Cup 2026 ticket prices guide.
