The adidas Golden Boot goes to the tournament’s top scorer, with ties broken by assists and then fewest minutes played. Kylian Mbappe won it with 10 goals and 4 assists in 8 matches, becoming the first player in history to claim the Golden Boot at two World Cups after his award in Qatar 2022.

adidas Golden Ball 2026: Rodri Named Best Player
The adidas Golden Ball is the World Cup’s best player award, decided by a vote of accredited media from a shortlist drawn up by FIFA’s Technical Study Group. Spain captain Rodri won the 2026 edition, beating pre final favourite Lionel Messi to the prize.
